Now these things happened to them as an example, and they were written for our instruction,

Kings, kingdoms...

Q.What is your approach on voting, elections and how this could be looked at as a believer?

A. What i am going to tell you is one way to look at this issue and my opinion as a believer in Yeshua. We know from the scriptures that the L-rd has the final answer on kings and kingdoms. In Dan 2.21 it says "He (G-d) changes the times and the seasons: He removes kings, and sets up kings..." So, there are leaders that are elected to office in this country and others, but the L-rd is not unaware of the changes that are needed. On Prov 28.4 it says "They that forsake the Torah praise the wicked, and they that keep the Torah contend with them".

In this country, the Torah is for the most part ignored. Seminaries and churches do not teach the truth and sya that the Torah has been done away with, consequently evil leaders are elected and defended for the G-dless lifestyles and views, even to the point that the killing of children is condoned and all sorts of evil. Those who follow the L-rd must contend with them in order to make sure that this evil does not spread. Prov 21.1 says that "The king's heart is in the hands of the L-rd, as the rivers of water: He turns wherever He will." So, the reason we have G-dless leaders is that there is not enoung righteous people who contend with them by voting. As a result, we get the leaders the majority of the people want.

That is why we have bad presidents and congressman. Sometimes, we elect someone who seems to be a good man, but after awhile you can't tell much difference in policy and nothing really changes. G-d told Jeremish to pray for the welfare of the place the Jewish people went during the captivity. In doing so, their welfare would be better. I said all that to say this. As a believer, I try to contend with those who would promote evil. People think one party is better than the other. THat is up to the voter to diced. Personally, the two parties in this country are about the same when it come to "righteous" behavior and G-dly insight. But, you have to make a decision based on your conscience and morals.

My basis for judging what is evil and sin is based on the Torah. You might have a candidate that is a good church-going person who goes to services every Sunday, but is that right in G-d's eyes? Is lighting the National Christmas tree a G-dfearing act? Is having pagan festivals celebrated like Christmas and having Easter egg hunts what G-d considers as right for a believer. Is having state dinners filled with all manners of unclean foods the work of a righteaou person who says they are people of faith? I don't think so. Many people we think are G-dly are not, even though the sins of others may be more serious, it is still evedence of an unrepentant heart who has been taught that the Torah has been done away.

If the Torah has been done away with and the &th day Sabbath and festivals, food laws are not observed, then why do those same peole point there finger at another person who may lie and commit adultery, or who is homosexual. If they are free from the Law, why aren' the others. If you can break the 4th commandment concerning the Sabbath because you "are free", why do you say the those who break the 6th commandment(murder) are guilty if they support abortion? Aren't they "free" as well? In closing, my opinions on elections are a little dofferent. I have problems with both parties, and one is not more G-dly than the other.

It comes to that every time tyhere is an election and sometimes the enemy of my enemy is my friend, and holding my nose, I cast my vote. But, I am not under any misconceptions about both sides. You know a tree by its fruit. I hope this helps.
